Rovinjsko Selo - Podvožnjak

Na cesti Rovinj – Kanfanar, svega 5 – 6 km udaljeno od Rovinja, nalazi se naselje Rovinjsko Selo sa čijih se brežuljaka pruža predivan pogled na grad Rovinj i rovinjski arhipelag.
Danas, Selo samo po nazivu jer se stalno razvija i pomalo postaje predgrađe Rovinja. Na oko jednom kvadratnom kilometru izgrađeno je u prošlosti do danas oko 400 kuća. One starije, grupirane su na nekoliko lokacija (Rudelići, Čupići, Morovi, Vičani – noseći nazive obitelji koje su u njima prije više desetljeća obitavale) a koje predstavljaju lijep primjer seoske arhitekture iz 19. i početka 20. stoljeća, danas gotovo sve adaptirane.
Stare su kuće predivna prizemna ili jednokatna kamena zdanja, sa baladurom i šternom, te dvorištem ograđenim zidanom ogradom unutar koje se može pronaći još poneka krušna peć stara stotinjak godina. Novoizgrađene kuće inkorporirane su unutar starih jezgri ili na rubovima naselja. Povezane su uličicama, s lijeve i desne strane glavne seoske prometnice, a koje dalje nastavljaju put u polja ograđena suhozidom.

Rovinjsko Selo, rasuto po uzvisinama i u kanalu koji ide od brda Kanaštrak prema Rovinju, opkoljeno zelenilom ima svu suvremenu infrastrukturu potrebnu za miran i ugodan život van grada, a opet tako blizu i gradu i moru. U Rovinjskom Selu živi nešto više od 700 žitelja, a ljeti s turistima i vikendašima znatno više. Veći dio stanovnika radi u obližnjem Rovinju ili Puli, dok drugi žive i rade u Selu, baveći se zanatstvom, trgovinom ili poljoprivredom, ili pak uživaju zasluženu mirovinu.

On the road Rovinj - Kanfanar, only 5-6 km away from Rovinj, there is the village Rovinjsko Selo, whose hills offer a beautiful view of the city of Rovinj and the Rovinj archipelago.
Today, the village is only by name because it is constantly evolving and is becoming a suburb of Rovinj. About 400 houses have been built on about one square kilometer in the past. The older ones are grouped in several locations (Rudelići, Čupići, Morovi, Vičani - bearing the names of the families who lived in them decades ago) and which represent a beautiful example of rural architecture from the 19th and early 20th century, today almost all adapted.
The old houses are beautiful single-storey or single-storey stone buildings, with a balustrade and a cistern, and a yard surrounded by a masonry fence within which you can find some hundred-year-old bread ovens. Newly built houses are incorporated within the old cores or on the outskirts of the settlement. They are connected by alleys, on the left and right side of the main village road, which further continue into the fields surrounded by a dry stone wall.

Rovinjsko Selo, scattered on the hills and in the canal that goes from the hill Kanaštrak to Rovinj, surrounded by greenery has all the modern infrastructure needed for a quiet and comfortable life outside the city, and yet so close to the city and the sea. In Rovinjsko Selo live a little more than 700 inhabitants, and in summer with tourists and weekenders much more. Most of the inhabitants work in nearby Rovinj or Pula, while others live and work in Selo, engaged in crafts, trade or agriculture, or enjoy a well-deserved pension.

An der Straße Rovinj - Kanfanar, nur 5-6 km von Rovinj entfernt, liegt das Dorf Rovinjsko Selo, dessen Hügel einen schönen Blick auf die Stadt Rovinj und den Rovinjer Archipel bieten.
Heute ist das Dorf nur noch dem Namen nach, weil es sich ständig weiterentwickelt und zu einem Vorort von Rovinj wird. Auf rund einem Quadratkilometer wurden in der Vergangenheit etwa 400 Häuser gebaut. Die älteren sind an mehreren Orten gruppiert (Rudelići, Čupići, Morovi, Vičani - tragen die Namen der Familien, die vor Jahrzehnten in ihnen lebten) und die heute fast alle ein schönes Beispiel ländlicher Architektur aus dem 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert darstellen angepasst.
Die alten Häuser sind schöne einstöckige oder einstöckige Steingebäude mit einer Balustrade und einer Zisterne und einem von einem Mauerwerk umgebenen Hof, in dem sich einige hundert Jahre alte Brotbacköfen befinden. Neu gebaute Häuser werden in die alten Kerne oder am Rande der Siedlung integriert. Sie sind durch Gassen links und rechts der Hauptdorfstraße verbunden, die weiter in die von einer Trockensteinmauer umgebenen Felder führen.

Rovinjsko Selo, verstreut auf den Hügeln und im Kanal, der vom Hügel Kanaštrak nach Rovinj führt, umgeben von viel Grün, verfügt über die gesamte moderne Infrastruktur, die für ein ruhiges und komfortables Leben außerhalb der Stadt und doch so nah an der Stadt und dem Meer erforderlich ist. In Rovinjsko Selo leben etwas mehr als 700 Einwohner, im Sommer mit Touristen und Wochenendausflüglern noch viel mehr. Die meisten Einwohner arbeiten im nahe gelegenen Rovinj oder Pula, während andere in Selo leben und arbeiten, in Handwerk, Handel oder Landwirtschaft tätig sind oder eine wohlverdiente Rente genießen.
