If you cannot go to Canada, the second choice would be to eat hot dogs and watermelon on the Arkansas River.  This event is in recognition of the burnt weenie events downstream years ago... AND ... to thank Chuck Walla, our Reviewer, for his dedication during the last 16 years.  

This event is located at a pavillion in Spadra Corps of Engineers park on the Arkansas River.   The park has camping spaces, boat dock, playground and restrooms.  It is VERY CLOSE to a steep dropoff so young children would need to be carefully supervised.   No dogs allowed at the event.
