Working at a Renaissance faire every summer has been awfully interesting Four
I've been working in a show there for a decade now Two
That's how I got the name Panda, that's my stage name Degrees
Pretty much everyone except family and coworkers/customers call me by Panda Zero
Depending on the day, we've done five to seven shows in a day Five
With it being outdoors, with no A/C and thick costumes, the humid days are the worst, with a feel sometimes hitting the triple digits Period
Working a full time job plus 12+ hours a day at the faire on weekends can sometimes get tiring Two
But it's like a second home to me, plus meeting all the beautiful ladies is a bonus One
It still makes me smile when someone recognizes me out of the faire Eight
Seeing a packed audience all cheering for me when I'm on the stage is something that still makes me smile West
I love all the friends I've made, they're a special kind of friends Zero
Meeting up in the off season for camping, traveling, barbecues, or just parties together just for the fun of it with all the friends is always exciting Eight
It's definitely a different life, one I am extremely glad to be in Eight
I never knew working there would be such a huge part of my life Degrees
With people even creating a fan group in my honor Zero
As well as someone creating an annual appreciation day for me Two
And of course I watch out for my friends, giving them discounted tickets and helping them with other stuff whenever possible at the faire Period
Staying at friends houses on the weekend, staying at hotel rooms, or camping those weekends are always great days Six
Getting free food and gallons of pickle juice always gets me through the hard days One
I would never change this experience Two
