The Flagman!
Flags are always flying here (excluding high winds/thunderstorms), and there's always different flags up that you may never have seen before.
This cache is definitely one for flag lovers and one to return to.
The Flagman keeps the flags topical to events and history, with an information board outside explaining each flag flying that day. And even has a request box outside if there's a certain flag you'd like to see on a certain day.
Back in 2019 he featured on This Morning and their research team believed that he has the largest private collection of flags in England with his 650 flags just after the Maritime Museum. Since then he believes he's got a further 300 flags bringing his total to around 950 flags!
***This cache is in a residential area and permission has been given by the Flagman. The cache can be retrieved from the footpath and there is no need to go onto his property. As this is a residential property please respect this and as a rule of thumb of only retrieving the cache when the flags are flying ****
***The area can be a high Muggle area especially around school start and end times, however it is quite standard for people to stop and read about the flags ***
***The cache is a small vitamin c type of tube container and is placed behind "TO ALL FLAG LOVERS", this can be easily retrieved from the pavement with no need to lift up the lid unless you're putting in a request. When placed the cache contained a pencil and small swag ***
I hope you enjoy the flags and can learn something new about them. When you post your log I'd love to hear what your favourite flag was when you visited.
Congratulations to Kiting Klive on FTF
