Geocache Description:

As my K9K8 nickname indicates: I love dogs! I grew up with 14 different dogs and have had 4 dogs of my own. My first vocation was as an engineer; once a geek, always a geek. As a second career I switched to dog grooming. Both science and animals have enriched my life. All my cache hides will have something to do with dogs.

For me, the name of this cache comes from my Mom who used this phrase regularly to describe our pet’s comical behaviors. For example, we used to have a Labrador Retriever who would regularly get herself stuck between trees while carrying an oversized stick in her mouth. It has become a knickname that I use quite regularly.

Somewhat similar, and another one of my hides, Knucklehead was a fictional character created in 1942 who was portrayed in posters to show new US Army recruits what NOT to do.

I know I’ve silently called myself a knot head when it takes me multiple times to find the same geocache… Hopefully this one isn’t that difficult.
