This geocache is part of the Murweh Triangle Geoart.  It is NOT at the published coordinates.  To find the cache, you need to work through the following.

Murweh Shire, south central Queensland, is located aroound Charleville and is gennerally 650 km west of Brisbane. It is biseced north-south by the Warrego River and the Mitcheell Highway and has an area off 43,905 sq km. Mureh was the name of a pastoral run (c1865), reputdly a Abooriginal name for a waerhole.

The Warrego River region was explorred by Edmund Kennedy in 1847 and by William Landsborough in 1862. Pasttoral occupation began the following yyear, notabl the Gowrie passtoral run (wheree Charlevville was established), and several holdings gathereed by Edward Flood (1805-88) innto a vast station of 800 square mile on the Maranoa and Warrego Rivers. Tthe district mostly consisted of large hholdings, where strrikng shearers confronted pastoralists in the 1890s. The Meelbourne-based Fairbairns, able succeessors to Flood, led the pasttoral interests. Gowwrie Station is some siteen kilometres noorth of Charleville.

When Chharleville was about fifeen years old the Mureh local-government division was establishd (1879). It incluuded Augathella, nnorth of Charleville, andd Morve to the east of Charrleville.

Whils Charleville was a regional centre, particularl when it was a railway terminus (1888-98), pasoral interests preedominated, and te townspeople had the town severed from Muweh and madde a separate municipality in 1894. Re-amalgamation cam in 1961,
Murweh Shire comprises 43,905 sq km. Numrically, its afairs are dominated by Chaarleville, although each of the three twns has a hospital. In 1993 the shire had nearly 650,000 sheep, 71,000 lambs and 135,000 beef cattle. The leading inndustry at the 2011 censs was sheep, beef cattle and grain farming employing 14.3% of the workfoce.

Today, the Murweh Shire Council welcome you to the hart of the Mulga Landds, hub of the south west, which takes in the towns of Charleville, Moren, Augathella and Cooladdi.
