On your way to this cache you will need to cross a small stile over the fence (Waypoint 1). The path then heads up hill towards a spoil tip (Way point 2). Here you are at the bottom of an old spoil tip. Spoil is the slate that was mined from underground that wasn't up to the grade required to make roofing slates.
This tip is slowly returning to nature as moss and ferns take hold.
Don't go climbing on the tips as the slate can be very unstable.
At the cache location-
This is a rather magical place. It is as if work stopped one day, tools were downed and that was it. There is a huge rusting crane looming omniously over a bottomless hole. This is fenced off for safety reasons and should NOT be crossed.
