Our dog Stanley loved the Sunnyside Mall. This is a great place to walk your dog or do some dog watching! The Sunnyside Mall is a unique, pedestrian-only strip of Uptown in Sheridan Park. Please enjoy the Little Free Book Library (for humans) and the Little Free Stick Library (for dogs)! Both were designed and constructed by Wayne Johnson. Fun Facts: The Little Free Book Library's design was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Little Free Stick Library was featured in People Magazine! If you feel so inclined, please add the name of a poochie who left a paw print on your heart next to your log, and think fondly of our Stanley boy, who we miss and love so much.
BYOP and be warry of muggles, both human and dog! This is a highly trafficed area by many species. : )

This geocache is kindly sponsored and officially supported by The Sunnyside Mall Committee.

The Sunnyside Mall Committee, a committee within the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, was formed to create a safe and
engaging community space in the heart of Sheridan Park. Sunnyside Mall is located in the heart of Uptown, on Sunnyside Ave,
between the streets of Dover and Magnolia. This unique space originally created in the 70s has changed significantly over the
years. Our committee is made up of local volunteers, who all want to see the mall become a true gathering space for the
community. Organizing several events throughout the year, such as our annual Movie Night, Halloween Party, Arts Festival and
Block Party.
Sunnyside Mall is unique as it crosses several official block clubs, and is at the center of a rapidly developing neighborhood
community. Over that past decade, Sheridan Park has seen unprecedented growth and the mall has been uniquely positioned at
the center of a community that is growing every day. The Sunnyside Mall Committee relies on that community of individuals to
actively engage the space. This includes a mix of individuals, families, renters, condo owners, small businesses, and large
corporations.
Head east on the Mall to enjoy a great mosiac art work, too!
