In 1899 a group of Freemasons from the areas around Caledonia came together to form a new Lodge. In 1900 they received their charter from the Grand Lodge of New York and purchased the Caledonia House Hotel. About 1907, after remodeling, the hotel was rebranded as The Masonic Temple. The group of Freemasons named their Lodge “Eunice” after the daughter of its first official member and one of its main benefactors, James Tennent. Eunice Tennent had only lived to be about a year old, but her name proudly lives on with the Lodge.
There are many Steps in Freemasonry. Each of these steps are called Degrees. The First Degree is the Entered Apprentice and the Second Degree is the Fellowcraft. Even tho there may be many degrees after it, the Third is the most important, the Master Mason Degree. It’s at the 3rd Degree you discover something hidden from you. Once raised to a Master Mason each person becomes a full member of the Lodge and Signs the Membership Book.
There seems to be a bit in common with Freemasonry and Geochaching. Very well known groups with secrets hiding in plain sight that the casual observer does not see.
A special penny is hidden very close to cache for FTF. The penny is held on very precariously, be careful not to lose it.
