This is the second of 7 geocaches in a series that is designed to inform people about the history of Weathersfield, Vermont. Each site has some significance to the town. In each cache you will see a letter of the alphabet. When you have found all 7 of the caches, arrange the letters that you found to spell a word that has to do with a part of Weathersfield history. This will be a person's name who never actually lived in his namesake. Email the owner of this series and receive a small gift from the historical society for your efforts. We hope you have enjoyed a little bit about our town.
This covered bridge was located near the lower perkinsville area. It was relocated to Amsden and used as a salt shed. It was moved because it was in the flood plain for the North Springfield dam area. In the 1980's there was a community effort to have the bridge moved again to its present site.
