Just across from GZ, you will notice a tree painted in a rather arresting shade of blue. Perhaps you have seen other bright blue trees like it all around Australia, and wondered about their purpose. At the time of hiding the cache, there are 816 such trees officially registered with the Blue Tree Project - including this one!
Since 2019, dead trees all around Australia have been given new life with a fresh coat of bright blue paint and the goal of sparking difficult conversations around mental ill health. It is hoped that the trees not only brighten the landscape, but also the lives of anybody having a difficult time. These trees stand as a reminder to those affected by mental illness that it's okay not to be okay and raise awareness of suicide.
You do not need to enter private property or climb any fences to find the cache. BYO pen and please replace as found.
