Geocache Description:

Ship Creek is an extremely busy place especially in the summer. Ship Creek is one place you can fish for a King Salmon in an uban environment. There is shopping, dining, walking, biking, fishing and wildlife viewing. The Alaska Railroad runs parallel to Ship Creek. In the evenings there are several trains coming and going with folks moving around this awesome state. . The tides are very dramatic and interesting to watch. Beluga Whales have been spotted at the boat launch so keep your eye out. The seagulls have a large rookery in this area. The baby seagulls are on top of many of the buildings along the creek and there can be serious drama if intruders enter the seagull air space. It is beautiful here in the winter as well and the cache should be winter friendly. So come down and enjoy this area.
