This cache is a GeoScented cache. It's a normal cache for anyone else who wants to find it, but for people whose dogs are trained to find scented oils like those used in nose work trials, they're meant specifically to give your dog practice finding the target scent in an unknown location.
GeoScented caches are scented with clove oil, which does not attract insects or animals. If you wish to practice your scent-work, you may want to bring along a vial with a clove scented Q-tip in it, to give your dog a whiff of the scent he is supposed to find. Ideally, you would follow your GPS to within 10 or 20 feet of the cache, then ask the dog to "find scent", and follow him on leash (or a long line) while he searches for the scent source. Once he finds it, reward your dog, and just make a trade, sign the log, and put the cache back as you found it. If your dog has an "active" alert (scratching or digging) please don't let him degrade the cache or cache area. If you use the scent feature, let us know how your dog did at finding the cache.
