If nice weather is luring you outside, load up your boat for a day full of fishing on Lake Ray Hubbard. Lake Ray Hubbard, a 21,000 acre lake, provides a nice change of pace. From boating, water skiing and fishing to sailing and windsurfing, Lake Ray Hubbard redefines relaxation. The lake is top rated for largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, catfish, bluegills and hybrid striped bass. You can access the lake via the outdoor store's docks or through the Chaha Ramp at John Paul Jones Park.
There is some great eating in the area. Hooters, Flying Saucer, Primo's Tex Mex and TLC on the Lake would be great ways to earn some extra points if you're participating in the Garland GeoTour. If you're not familiar with that, check it out at this link.
