Tato keška je umístěna u rybníku Velká jáma. Nedaleko odsud je rybník Malá jáma. Oba rybníky se nacházejí v katastru městyse Ledenice. U rybníka je volně přístupný altánek, který vybudovali místní rybáři. Občané ho využívají jako výletní stanoviště, kde si mohou na krytém ohništi opéct buřty.

Rybníky vznikly jako důlní propadliny a patří do rybářského revíru Třeboňsko, na které jsou potřeba zvláštní místní povolenky.
Těžba křemeliny a jílů v okolí Ledenic je datována již od konce 19. století. V roce 1979 v blízkosti vznikl lom – dobývací prostor Ledenice. Místní mu neřeknou jinak než jáma. Před revolucí zde těžil národní podnik Calofrig (Calofrig a.s.), od r. 1999 je majitelem rakouský holding Lasselsberger. V současné době se diskutuje o rozšíření těžebního prostoru směrem k Ledenicím. Jáma by tak sahala cca 100 m od této kešky (nyní cca 250 m).
Na mapce je patrno, že dobývací prostor zasahuje hluboko do katastru městyse Ledenice. Proti těžbě se postavil spolek Ledeničtí proti těžbě, který bojuje za to, aby nebyl kácen les, těžba již dál nepokračovala a zůstaly zachovány rybníky Velká a Malá jáma.

This cache is located by the Velká jáma pond. Not far from here is the Malá jáma pond. Both ponds are located in the cadastre of the town of Ledenice. There is a freely accessible gazebo near the pond, which was built by local fishermen. Citizens use it as an excursion site, where they can roast burritos on a covered fire.

The ponds were created as mining pits and belong to the Třeboňsko fishing district, for which special local permits are required.
The mining of diatomaceous earth and clays in the vicinity of Ledenice dates back to the end of the 19th century. In 1979, a quarry - the mining area of Ledenice - was built nearby. The locals don't call him anything other than a pit. Before the revolution, the national company Calofrig (Calofrig a.s.) mined here, since 1999 it has been owned by the Austrian holding Lasselsberger. Currently, the expansion of the mining area towards Ledenice is being discussed. The pit would thus extend about 100 m from this cache (now about 250 m).
The map shows that the mining area extends deep into the cadastre of the town of Ledenice. The Ledeničtí anti-mining association, which fights for the forest not to be felled, opposed the mining, mining did not continue and the Velká and Malá jáma ponds were preserved.
