This is a story of a little geocache that survived the epic 500 year flood of June 12, 2022. The cache, "Hey look a new bridge", was originally placed here in 2012 after a new bridge was constructed to replace its 100 yr old predicessor. Then 10 years later the town of Red Lodge experienced a flood that became known as a 500 year event. Debris and trees finally jammed up under the bridge about 3:00 in the morning. Sending torrents of water down Broadway, Platt, and Haggin avenues. It flooded several blocks of main street and the east side of town. In all we lost 4 bridges and damage to many others just in the Red Lodge area. But somehow this bridge and this amazing tough little cache survived. So it was time to give this cache a new and more fitting name and life.
