Geocache Description:

In the forest of Garvagh lies a tomb like few others. Solve the puzzle to find the cache, but be careful of what lies inside, undisturbed for 1000s of years. Just make sure it doesn’t come into contact with sand!

The Location

Covering over 200 hectares, the forest is criss-crossed with many paths that are ideal for cycling, walking and simply absorbing the calming atmosphere. Time spent in the forest is rewarded with opportunities to sight the bird and wildlife that make their home amongst the many species of trees and other plants. In mid to late spring, the forest is transformed by a wonderful carpet of vivid bluebells.

Within the Canning family’s ancestral lands, the forest became part of Lord Garvagh’s Demesne when the barony was created in 1818. Following a Grand Tour of Egypt, the first Lord Garvagh, George Canning, built the striking pyramid structure sited at the entrance of the forest. Originally intended as his burial vault, George later had a change of heart and ordered the entrance of the pyramid to be sealed so the enigmatic structure remains unused.

The Cache

You will not find the cache at the given coordinates, instead you will find Northern Ireland’s first and only pyramid. You will have to solve the puzzle to find the cache located in the forest.

The cache is a micro in a regular sized contained, covered in a black camo bag. On discovery of the cache please make sure to carefully open the cache on a flat surface to ensure the contents remain inside. You will then have to dig about or use a TOTT to find the cache. You will have to BYOP for signing. Please hide the cache well and return the container where you found it in an upright position.

Be careful, the area is full of muggles on foot and wheels, and four-legged muggles too!

Please remember to follow the Countryside Code whilst out caching. There should be no need to disturb any plants, trees, animals, or locals when finding this cache.

The Puzzle

Answer the questions based on The Mummy (1999) and fill them into the pyramid. Insert the phrase into Certitude (without spaces) to get the final coordinates. If you’ve watched the film then you should find these easy-peasy, and if you haven’t then you should watch it ASAP!

2) Who can be seen in the ghostly chariot after the defeat of Imhotep?

3) Goodbye…
