Some may remember this cache for being in a tree but due to homeless activity, the cache has been moved. The original cache was archived due to it drastically being changed.

sunset park is roughly 600,000 square feet of park and green space. the park was made by the developers of Lakeland Hills in a partnership with the City of Auburn. The name was selected by a Citizen's group, who decided to name it of the beautiful views of the sunset from the park. The park was dedicated in 2003.


The park has a magnificent view of Mount Rainier. And if you stand there while all of the conditions are right if you face South West you can see a beautiful view of the mountain. This view point is recommended for Moring sunrise or evening sunset.

Note: photo is not from the park, I was unable to find a suitable photo of Rainier from the park :(
