GEOCACHE: Gorgeous view across Carlingford Lough towards the Mountains of Mourne. Please pay attention to the Terrain rating and remember that dogs are not allowed here in the Cooley mountains. Also, it pays to remember that this is a working farming community. It will be a slippery descent during your wee descent to GZ, especially during or after rainfall. Take care and enjoy!
Should be room for a few swaps or a trackable. You are looking for a small tab lock box.
Please note: This Geocache is not in a wall or any part of the road structure. Also, as always be aware of the potential for muggle attention, especially from the road below the cache placement.
THISTLE: Common name of a group of flowering plants characterised by leaves with sharp prickles on the margins. Prickles can occur all over the plant and are an adaptation that protects the plant from being eaten by herbivores. Since the reign of King Alexander 111 (13th Century) the thistle has been Scotland's national emblem. Nobody is quite sure how the flower became Scotland's national flower.
Beware of the Thistles!
