Popasul Zimbrul este unul dintre locurile de rezonanţă în memoria locuitorilor oraşului Haţeg şi, cu siguranţă, a multor călători care au trecut prin zona noastră. Este amplasat chiar în vârful Dealului Haţegului, la intrarea în pădurea Slivuţ, la o altitudine de 400 m şi este locul de unde pleacă traseul spre Tronul Străbunilor şi Cetatea Regală a Haţegului. Vis a vis de popas, se găseşte amplasată statuia unui zimbru, statuie care acum mulţi ani se găsea în parcul din centrul oraşului, fiind mai apoi mutată în Parcul Pompierilor şi mai târziu, pe Dealul Haţegului. Imediat în apropierea popasului, este şi intrarea pe drumul ce duce spre Rezervaţia de zimbri. Dacă veniţi dinstre Haţeg, intrarea în parcare este foarte uşoară, dar dinspre Simeria, acest lucru este interzis! După hoinăreala pe potecile pădurii, o pauză la popas este mai mult decât binevenită!

The Zimbrul Inn is one of the places with resonance in the memory of the inhabitants of Haţeg town and, certainly, of many travelers who passed through our area. It’s located right at the top of Haţegs’ Hill, at the entrance to Slivuţ Forest, at 400 m altitude and is the place where the route to the Ancestors' Throne and the Royal Fortress of Haţeg starts. Opposite the inn, is a statue of a bison, a statue that many years ago was in the park in the city center, being later moved to the Firefighters Park and later on Haţegului Hill. Immediately near the inn, is the entrance on the road leading to the Bison Reserve. If you come from Haţeg, entering the parking lot is very easy, but from Simeria, this is forbidden! After your hikink thru the forest paths, a break here is more than welcome!
