Kylmäpihlajan majakkasaari

Meren ja tuulen karaisema Kylmäpihlajan majakkasaari on aivan avomeren äärellä. Karusta olemuksestaan huolimatta tämä tyrnien värittämä saari kuhisee elämää, etenkin lintujen pesimäaikana. Kesäaikaan Kylmäpihlajalle pääsee vaivattomasti säännöllisen vesibussiliikenteen ansiosta.
Nykyään matkailukohteena toimiva Kylmäpihlajan majakka valmistui vuonna 1953. Se on Suomen viimeinen miehitetyksi rakennettu majakka, joka toimi myös luotsiasemana.
Majakan torni kohoaa merenpinnasta 36 metrin korkeuteen. Sen tornissa on näköalatasanne, josta on upea näkymä avomerelle. 

Kylmäpihlajan Majakkasaarella on suojaisa satama-allas, jossa on paikkoja sekä poiju- että kylkikiinnityksellä. Satama-altaan syväys on 4m. Pienemmän syväyksen veneille tarkoitettu pienvenesatama sijaitsee aallonmurtajasta sisääntultaessa heti vasemmalla. Päiväkiinnittyminen on ilmaista.

Kylmäpihlaja Lighthouse Island

Kylmäpihlaja lighthouse island, toughened by the sea and the wind, is right by the open sea. In spite of its rough characteristics, the island is full of life, especially during the nesting time of birds. Sea buckthorns colour the island orange in the late summer and in the autumn. Water buses run to the island daily in the summer.
The Kylmäpihlaja lighthouse was completed in 1953. The lighthouse was the last lighthouse in Finland built to have staff, and it acted as a pilot station as well. Nowadays the lighthouse is a tourist attraction.
The tower of the lighthouse is 36 metres above the sea level. The view of the open sea from the observation deck is breathtaking.

At the island you can find a sheltered harbor basin, where there are places for large vessels with draft of 4m. In addition there is a separate dock for small boats with less draft. Only overnight stay will be charged.

Kuuskajaskarin loma- ja linnakesaari

Kuuskajaskarin loma- ja linnakesaari tarjoaa kävijälle samalla kertaa merellisiä elämyksiä ja metsäisen saaren suojaista rauhaa.
Entisellä linnakesaarella on armeijan tunnelma yhä vahvasti aistittavissa. Saarelta löytyy monia mielenkiintoisia puolustusvoimien tutustumiskohteita, kuten esimerkiksi neljä armeijan käytöstä poistamaa rannikkotykkiä (malliltaan 152/50 T) , joista yksi on edelleen toimintakuntoinen. Oppaan johdolla on mahdollista tutustua tykkiluoliin ja tykkien toimintaperiaatteeseen. Saarelta löytyy myös kaksi merivalvontatornia, runsaasti juoksuhautoja, ampuma-asemia sekä muita entisen linnakkeen välttämättömyyksiä.
Nykyisin saari on matkailukäytössä. Kuuskajaskari-polku opastaa saaren historiaan ja geologiaan. Rauman saariston yksi suurimmista saarista on myös erinomainen kohde ryhmille.

Kuuskajaskarin itäpuolen laituri on vierasvenelaituri (poijukiinnitys), venepaikkojen syvyys 2,2-2,8m. Päiväkiinnittyminen on ilmaista.

Kuuskajaskari Holiday and Fortress Island

Kuuskajaskari holiday and fortress island offers visitors both maritime experiences and the peace of the forests.
The former military fortress island still has a strong feel of the military past. There are many interesting military attractions, such as four coastal cannons (model 152/50 T) one of which is still functional. A guide can introduce the cannon caves and how the cannon operates. There are also two surveillance towers, many trenches, shooting ranges, and other necessities of a former fortress.

Today the island serves as a tourist attraction. Kuuskajaskari trail introduces the history and the geology of the island. As one of the biggest islands in the Rauma archipelago, Kuuskajaskari is also an excellent destination for groups.

The dock on the east side of the island is a guest boat dock (buoy attachment), the draft of the boat berths is 2,2-2,8m. Only overnight stay will be charged.

3. piste muuttunut 9.9.2024. Se vie sinut entiselle säähavaintoasemalle, joka on nykyisin näköalatorni. Laske porrasaskelmat, tasanne aina vain yhden kerran, ei ylätasannetta (spoiler2). Ota luku talteen (pariton kuten 41)! 

4. piste vie sinut saaren yhden tykin lähelle. Maassa on ympyrässä rautatappeja (spoiler). Laske tapit ja ota se talteen!

We spent a nice summer day in Rauma Archipelago. Come along to our summer trip! This multi-cache will take you to a couple of islands and to the mainland. I took the photos in July 2022.

Multicache

This multi includes four points and the cache. The needed info of fourth point cannot be found during winter.

1.point (ie. bogus): You are in front of the lighthouse door. There is a sign on the wall on the right side. Note down the year!

2.point changed on 22.7.2025: You are in front of the electric pole with climbing metal stairs. Count on both sides!

3. point changed on 9.9.2024. It takes you to the former weather observation station, now an observation tower. Calculate the stairs, level only once, no top level (spoiler2). Note the number down (odd numbers like 41)!

4.point: You are close to one cannon. You should find the circle on the ground. Count the metal pegs in the circle (spoiler). Note down the quantity!

Now you should have nine numbers. Create Gade using those numbers.
