This cache is a part of a series to recognize Lincoln parks young and old, well known and hidden.
Welcome to Stransky Park! A unique gem among the 100+ parks around Lincoln. This park was made possible by a generous million dollar donation to Lincoln Parks and Recreation by Leonard and Angeleen Stransky, prominent Lincoln grocers. The intention in 1994 with this donation was to develop a park with a waterfall, fountain, gazebo, playstructure, and space for picnics. In 2003 Stransky was completed and open to the public. Leonard sadly had passed in March 1998 and thus wasn't able to see the beauty his donation had created, his wife was present at the dedication and shared that her husband felt that donating the funds to create park land was one of his most important days.
"This is my day, I love Lincoln." -Leonard Stransky.
Please enjoy all this quaint park has to offer while you look for a small container.
The "May Require Wading" attribute is activiated due to this cache's location, however it is not required.
Please use stealth, this park unlike a majority of Lincoln Parks is open from 6 am to 10 pm instead of 11pm, this cache is possible at night.
