I scream, you scream...we all scream for ice cream!
In the US, National Ice Cream Day is July 17th. President Ronald Reagan inaugurated the celebration in 1984, designating July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day. Not that ice cream lovers need a reason to eat ice cream!
It is said that New Zealand consumes more ice cream per capita than any other country, with an average of 7.5 gallons per person per year. The US is second, with an average of 5.5 gallons (or 44 pints) per person per year.
To celebrate this amazing month and holiday, we took a road trip across the country eating ice cream at every stop! Our stops are listed below.
Use the letter number indicated below for each stop ignoring punctuations, symbols, and spaces. Once you have the letters, unscramble the letters to spell out the most popular ice cream flavor.
And when you’re done finding this geocache, treat yourself to your favorite flavor!
