City Beach is Sandpoint's 22 acre premier park located at the end of 102 Bridge Street. It is one of the oldest and best known parks in Sandpoint. The Park, was donated to the City in 1922 by the Northern Pacific Railroad and is now one of the focal points of Sandpoint. Its been developed over the years by volunteer labor, donations, and City, County, State and Federal funds. The City Beach is also the busiest park in the system and is used for several community special events including a large arts and crafts fair hosted by Pend Oreille Arts Council, and the Lion’s Club 4th of July Fireworks. City Beach is open 7am to 11pm.
