Welcome to the Farewell to Finder’s Fest geo-art, brought to you by the Forest Minions! This series celebrates weird and unusual things throughout the Sunshine State. Please do not go to the posted locations. Rather, solve the challenging quiz found at the bottom of each page, for the final location. For the letterbox caches, please leave the stamp in the cache. They are not trade items. For the discerning traveler, we’ve included the GPS coordinates for these bizarre locations, when we were able to establish them.
Prometheus Esoterica - Location 28.6238, -81.3008
When visitors first step into this local vintage shop, found at the aforementioned coordinates, it appears to be just another store to peruse classic objects such as fine china, soaps, and beautiful vintage art. However, a few steps into a dimly lit back room and visitors are met by grinning skeletons, macabre antiques, and esoteric books.
This section is Winter Park’s own little oddity shop and gothic boutique. You need not purchase anything, as visitors and lovers of all things esoteric are always welcome. Loals call this odd section of this shop Prometheus Esoterica, though the owners have no formal name for it. If you are passing through the Orlando area, feel free to stop by and say hello.
