Geocache Description:

Did you know the pound symbol has been in existence since approximately the 14th century? Ib was the original Latin abbreviations for pound, which is where the symbol came from. And while most people know it as the pound sign before it also became the hashtag, the official name, invented by telephone technicians, is "Octothorpe". To solve the coordinates, you need to answer two questions.

1: What year was the pound sign originally selected to go on the standard telephone pad?

a: 1940   N 42° 5.019'

b: 1955   N 42° 5.178'

c: 1959   N 42° 5.377'

d: 1961   N 42° 5.345'

2: What year was the hashtag 'invented' on Twitter?

a: 2001   W 88° 2.147'

b: 2005   W 88° 2.340'

c: 2007   W 88° 2.641'
