Geocache Description:

Ladybird, ladybird, fly away home! Your house is on fire, your children all gone,
All but one, and her name is Ann, And she crept under the frying pan.

This horriffic nursery rhyme can be dated back to to the mid 1700s and is chant to send a ladybug on its way.
The ladybug (or ladybird) beetle was (is) helpful to farmers by reducing the number of harmful larvae and insects on crops, and it is considered bad luck to squish one.

please dont send this one away or squish it

In the spirit of reconciliation I would like to acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
