Geocache Description:

About the Tamworth Marsupial Park taken from the Tamworth regional council website:

The Marsupial Park is a native animal experience unlike any other in NSW, the 14-hectare park has free entry. Children can get close to kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos and emus, spot the species in the free-flight aviary and hand feed the Indian peacocks.

Within the Marsupial Park is the community-built Adventure Playground for both under and over 5 year olds. There are barbecue facilities and bathrooms.

Winding it's way through the Marsupial Park is the Kamilaroi Walking Track, which links the Marsupial Park, Botanic Garden, Oxley Lookout and Flagstaff Mountain over a distance of several kilometres.

The Marsupial Park is a super fun destination for families with kids of all ages. Definitely worth a visit if you're stopping through Tamworth. Especially since there's a brand new cache there!

Here's some clues to help you find the cache:

1. Find the trail of the night marsupial

2. Pass by a white giant, and a forked giant

3. Step up

4. Reach the chicken border

5. Search the ground for a camouflage suprise

Some tips to help you on your quest: the cache is a camouflaged container hidden on the ground. The terrain isn't super steep especially along the path, but at the end you will leave the path briefly and then the terrain does get a little bit steeper.
While I do recommend this cache to do with the kiddies, this is in the bush so please keep your eyes open for poison ivy, ticks and snakes

Good luck and have fun!
