This cache is a tribute to all the Cache Owners that ever hid a Bison tube in an evergreen tree. I salute you.
Hunters Ridge Pool is on our daily dog walking route. If it’s not muddy we like to walk across the grass and enjoy the quiet, irregularity of this area of the park. The shape is made from the left over bits from the housing plots on either side.
We hope you enjoy it too.
This cache is just another Bison in a pine tree.
I used to shudder at the prospect of a spiky pine tree hiding a teeny-tiny micro tube.
Now I appreciate them.
Whenever I get a whiff of pine I don't think of clean kitchen floors or Christmas trees. I think of diving into the prickly foliage and scanning the underside of the branches. And I get that satisfying feeling of a Park & Grab that bumps up my daily stats. Every time I get the sticky, smelly resin on my hands I rub my fingers together and hold them to my face so I can inhale that unmistakable, natural fragrance. Ahhhh... I'm magically transported back to the thrill of a little rolled up log that still has room for me to sign.
Congratulations to OHLady and Lighthouse Nut for the First To Find.
P.S. There is all manner of leafy vines in the shade of this tree. I don’t know the itchy ones from the harmless ones. Please let me know in the logs, if you can. Thanks
