What is International Geocaching Day?
Ever since the 2011 Geocaching Block Party, geocachers worldwide come together for a day of celebration and smilies on the third Saturday of each August. This holiday is just one of the many quirks that make the global geocaching community so endearing. Can we count you in on the 11th anniversary of this special occasion?
About this event:
Come celebrate International Geocaching Day in the Northtowns by stopping by beautiful Gateway Harbor in North Tonawanda. Anyone who logs a cache, Adventure Lab, or attends an event on August 20th will receive a souvenir! Also...Geocaching HQ wants to try and break a record for the most geocachers logging a geocache in a single day. The more logs the merrier, so bring your family, friends, and anyone else who has a Geocaching account. If the record falls that day, there will be an additional souvenir awarded. Personally, I think the record will be shattered so come on out and be a part of the fun!
