I am partnering with the City of Kent Environmental Department in organizing a clean-up of a section of the Cuyahoga River. We will be meeting at 8 am at Tannery Park and there will be a waiver that must be completer prior to participation. We plan on removing things like old tires and railroad ties as well as garbage. Wear old shoes or work boots and bring work gloves (there will be a limited amount of gloves available for use). You can wade and remove trash and objects or use a kayak (limited number of kayaks to borrow on a first-come, first serve basis). There will be john boats to serve as trash barges.
From the endpoint, it is a short 1/2 mile walk back to the parking lot. We can shuttle if needed. I will have donuts and water available.
