Geocache Description:

30 September 2022, 10:00 - 10:30

Morven is a popular tourist stop on the Warrego Highway  just befor Charleville.

It is in the Shire of Murweh, and has full radio, television and mobile phone service.

Originally, the area on which  Morven now sits  was a popular spot for Bullock teams on the road between Mitchell and Charleville, due to the availability of water at the "Sadlier's Waterhole".

The area was called Morven in 1876, and was recognized officially in 1880.It is believed to be named after Morven in Aberdeenshire,Scotland.

There are a number of heritage listed sites, and a very popular museum precinct  right alongside the highway.

Our Event will take place on the lawns of the new Visitor Information Center (VIC) at 10-00  -  10-30am  on Friday 30th September 2022.

The VIC is keen to promote geocaching in the Murweh Shire, and around Morven in particular. So come along and show your support for geocaching around Morven by attending this,Morven's First  Geocachihg Event . I will be here  on the lawns for the duration of the Event  so please say hi  to myself and miss mille.
