Little Bridges #2550 - Hammer Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deepdiggingmole: I don't like to archive caches unless there is a very good reason, location issues, cache disappearing regularly, landowner changing their mind about placement etc etc.
However here, none of those were an issue - this just isn't getting any attention 😟 - it hasn't been found for over 2 years 😮and was being found less than 5 times a year 😟- it isn't as if the location is miles from nowhere or is a hard one to get to - so I do not understand its lack of interest
So evidently this area isn't one visited by cachers despite this cache being here, so it might as well go.
I have removed it and will put the themed container at another location

Geocache Description:

Another in the 'Little Bridges'Ā series - placed having found the location when out looking for Red Arrows !

24th June 2022 - I wanted to watch the Red Arrows as they came into Headcorn just before they began their display at the Battle of Britain show. I had noted that they were flying over this area and found a good spot to watch them (an open area a little further south of where this cache is hidden)Ā
I had seen the possibility of a few places to hide some caches and this was one of them.
This is the video of the Red Arrows that I took on that day.

Ā

This cache is a home crafted themed container - so please handle carefully

From parking you can go either N or S along the road to access the FP entrances - North will bring you to this one first - the FP entrance is given as a waypoint

*Edit* Original text referred to two other caches that were hidden in this area but unfortunately in Feb 2025 I discovered that both the red arrows puzzle cache and the other LB cache had mysteriously disappeared and so this is the only one that remains - so recommend taking the FP to the north to get to this oneĀ

In order to log a 'found' online you must sign the physical logsheet - unless good reason for not being able to do so (sodden / full logsheet etc - if this is the case, ensure a NM log is also added, followed up with a photo sent to the CO in messages) -Ā however, not having a pen !! just log a 'write note'.

If you cannot find the cache, do not assume it missing and do not put a throwdown as a replacement. ALL maintenance is the responsibility of the CO – if any is required, please add a ā€˜Needs Maintenance’ log to highlight the issue.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then, the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here: - Little Bridges Geocaching Series (littlebridgesseries.co.uk). If you would like to add to the series, please go to this site, on the tab Get Involved click number request and fill in the form. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches ā€œLittle Bridges # xxxx then the nameā€ including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
