#ignitethegreen was a movement in the Star Wars fandom to see the iconic green lightsaber of Luke Skywalker, that was introduced in Return of the Jedi, to be re-ignited in the Disney era. After the three sequel movies came and went without seeing the iconic lightsaber ignited, it was looking like we wouldn't see it again. But it was finally ignited in a Star Wars streaming show.
This campaign was largely lead by the Australian comedian/Star Wars fan Steele Saunders.
Continuing the green theme, at GZ you will find yourself near the meeting place of the Bendigo Field Naturalists. They meet a couple of times each month, and host Saturday morning walks. The purpose of the group is to encourage the study, conservation, and enjoyment of nature.
