'Arf a Hill'
He was the 'Arthur' Blundell, Sandys, Trumbull Hill' QV,
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PUBLIC FOOT PATH IS AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE FIELD
This is the public access path to the monument.
Do NOT walk through the corn or crop, if it has been planted or growing.! Respect the farm land and crop.
Keep to the publc path, once you walk the edge of the field there is a small pathway infront and around this monument.
The cache/Monument. - Mostly known as 3rd Marquess of Downshire, who lived 1788-1845
He (this Statue) stands on a Pillar that was erected in 1848. Three years 'afta' he died.
Odd thing about the monument, is that no one knows who built / erected it??
Yet that 'QV' which simply means to see' So that is maybe why the monument was made.
Because at the height of 39.624 meters - He can see plenty from the top of it, even
the Cache, which is 130ft away from him.
Limited roadside Parking available 200yds from the cache.
Respect thee farm land and follow the country code.
