Sept. 30. We followed a river for most of the day. Fields on one side and babbling water on the other. Another just gorgeous day in Spain. This is land that remembers El Cid driving out the Moors and the Knights Templar guarding and developing the Camino. A nearly level walk of only 23.2 km brought us to . . . Carrión de los Condes, Palencia, Castille y León, Spain.
Tall rubber boots are likely required for most of the caches. Some of the ditches are very steep.
