We travel around for work (mostly vending at geocaching events) and have passed through this area a few times now. We have a friend that recently moved nearby so we were visiting him when found this location. This location really spoke to Barb and she wanted to do something special here. Realizing that a geocache could go here we reached out to the owners and asked permission. They had heard of geocaching but was not familiar with how it all worked.
This cache will bring you to a very special spot in Mt Airy NC. Mt Airy is famous for being the location for the setting of the tv show Andy Griffith. If you ever watched the show you know it was all about kindness, people helping people and just being a good person. Well this location brings this same sentiment to current. Stop by find a cache, read the peace poles and share a rock.
Remember to spread a little love, be kind to strangers, give a smile, you just never know when someone might need it. A simple jesture could change a person's path in life.
You will be looking for a small hide a key type container. Please do not destroy the area looking, it is not in any vegetation.
