Geocache Description:

Located at Pinnacle Rock State Park in Mercer county, West Virginia
Placed with permission from West Virginia State Parks.

Original Listing details from 2002;
I placed this cache in a part of the park that doesn't get much traffic. There is no beaten trail to follow so pick a course suited to you. When you reach the rocks follow the big crack between them. This is the way I went to get there. The outcropping is high so be careful and watch where you step. As far as I know there is only one good way to reach the cache, as it is on top of the rocks. Look hard for it and don't step off the side. Hazards include the obvious falling threat, briers, and snakes.

I put in the coordinates where I entered the big crack as an additional waypoint. Approach from the North West side of the formation to enter the crack. I scouted the location with my 17 year old and we were able to reach ground zero without any climbing gear. When I placed the hide I did bring my telescoping ladder to make it a bit easier on us.

The cache is a 30 cal. ammo can, good luck, have fun, and definitely bring a camera!
