WSTĘP
Witaj na doskonale anonimowym blokowisku z lat 80. ubiegłego wieku. Bloki, piaskownice, samochody pod blokami - zwyczajna szara rzeczywistość. Gdyby jednak zajrzeć pod tą szarą skorupę, to oczom ukarze nam się rzeczywistość jeszcze bardziej szara - betonowa.
Bemowo-Lotnisko, bo o nim mowa, to konglomerat osiedli Bemowo I-IV wzniesionych na terenie lotniska Bemowo. I to dosłownie, bo w wykorzystaniem naiwerzchni lotniska i elementów infrastruktury. I niby nie ma nic nadzwyczajnego - podobnie zagospodarowano teren lotnisk w Warszawie na Gocławiu, na Bielanach w Warszawie, na Zaspie w Gdańsku, Osiedle Lotnisko w Grudziądzu i inne. Czasem jednak warto spojrzeć na ten temat inaczej przez pryzmat wydarzeń i tego co zostało.
LOTNISKO

W 1952 dostarczono tu pierwsze samoloty Lim-1, a w 1955 MiG-17 PF. W 1957 roku 1 PLM przebazowano na lotnisko w Janowie koło Mińska Mazowieckiego i zakończyła się tu era samolotów myśliwskich.
Była to też baza 15 DLB lotnictwa bombowego (7 i 33 PLB), uzbrojona w Iły-28, która zapewne w 1953 roku przeniesiona została do Modlina. W 1951 roku uruchomiono w pobliżu lotniska Wojskową Lotniczą Bazę Remontową (obecnie ul. Księcia Bolesława 1/3 - WZL). Stacjonowała tu również 42 Eskadra Lotnictwa Łącznikowego, 103 Pułk Lotnictwa MSW i 1 Brygada Radiotechniczna. Pojawiły się tu też śmigłowce.
W każdym razie od końca lat 70. na lotnisko przeniesiono Aeroklub Warszawski i zaczęło częściowo pełnić funkcje cywilne. W tym czasie teren lotniska powoli oddawano już pod zabudowę. Warto wpsomnieć o wyścigach samochodowych, które odbywały się na płycie lotniska. W latach 80. tradycje motoryzacyjne podztrymwała giełda samochodów używanych, a w lutym 1996 roku Automobilklub Polski otrzymał bezpłatnie w wieczyste użytkowanie na 99 lat od Skarbu Państwa działkę na lotnisku na Bemowie o powierzchni ponad 6 ha.
Warto wspomnieć jeszcze o koncertach m.in. występowali tu Michael Jackson (1997), Madonna (1999), AC/DC (2010), festiwal Sonisphere i inne.
LUDZIE
W 1956 roku na lotnisku Babice wylądowała delegacja radziecka z Nikitą Chruszczowem. W 1959 roku wylądował tu ówczesny wiceprezydent USA Richard Nixon, który to leciał do Moskwy na otwarcie wystawy amerykańskiej. Tu także lądował chiński premier Zhou Enlai.
Warto wspomnieć o planach budowy Rodzinnego Parku Rozrywki z 1997 roku na terenie lotniska, a pomysł wyszedł do Michaela Jacksona. Jednak z wielu powodów zakończyło się na liście intencyjnym między władzami miasta w zainteresowanym.

Bemowo-Lotnisko is a conglomerate of Bemowo I-IV housing estates built at the Bemowo airport. And literally, because the airport surface and infrastructure elements are used. And there is nothing extraordinary - the areas of the airports in Warsaw in Gocław, in Bielany in Warsaw, in Zaspa in Gdańsk, Osiedle Lotnisko in Grudziądz and others were similarly developed. Sometimes, however, it is worth looking at it differently through the prism of events and what is left.
AIRPORT
Bemowo airport has some traditions from before World War II, but 1945 is the beginning of the airport in its present shape. Initial construction work was completed in January 1951.
The airport was allocated to the main base of the 5th Fighter Aviation Division - the command and staff of the 5th DLM and the 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment (1 MPL) from Modlin were transferred here. At that time, the pilots flew Soviet piston-powered planes of the Yak-9 P type and a few older school Yak-9 W airplanes. In the same year, training of Polish pilots on new types of turbojet engines began here - in April, the first 3 used Training and training machines Yak-17 W. This year, Soviet Yak-23 crates were brought here in crates and assembled in hangar no. 3 in Bemowo. As early as 1951, as a result of the Korean war, more modern MIG-15s were added to the Polish air force. In 1952, the first Lim-1 aircraft were delivered here, and in 1955 the MiG-17 PF.
