Do you want to be a record breaker?
Those of a certain age will know that, according to Roy Castle, if you want to be a record breaker you need dedication. International Geocaching Day falls on 20 August this year and HQ wants us to use the occasion to try and break the record for most explorers (geocachers and adventurers) logging a cache find, Adventure Location, or Event in a single day. The current record is 126,833 explorers and it was set on August 11, 2013.
Attending this event will earn you the official International Geocaching Day souvenir. If we are successful in setting a new record on August 20, HQ will retroactively award a souvenir a few days after August 20 to the profile of every geocacher and adventurer that helped set the new record.
So lets go for it and I hope to see you at the meet for geocaching chat and fantastic views across Portsmouth Harbour. It’s a lovely open space so why not bring your Geohound for a bit of exercise too?
