Link, the unsuspecting hero of this story, is suddenly thrust into a mysterious, magical quest in the kingdom of Hyrule to save the princess, Zelda, and the world, from the evil sorcerer Ganon.
Link starts his journey with nothing on him but the rags that he wakes up in. Along the way he develops his skills, obtains equipment and powerful artifacts, such as the sacred Master Sword, and obtain the pieces of the all-powerful Triforce.
The journey takes Link to many lands within the Kingdom of Hyrule where he meets various tribes of people who are being threatened by Ganon’s growing power. Link must become strong and skilled enough to achieve his ultimate goal of defeating Ganon and saving princess Zelda. He must assist each of the tribes by defeating the monsters who have turned the tribes sacred places into dark and dangerous dungeons.
Each dungeon monster possesses a piece of the Triforce which Link will need to bring together if he is to stand any chance in the final battle.
The Triforce is a sacred relic which was left behind by the three Golden Goddesses — Din, the Goddess of Power; Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom; and Farore, the Goddess of Courage — after the creation of the land of Hyrule. The Triforce consists of three separate sacred golden triangles: the Triforce of Power, the Triforce of Wisdom, and the Triforce of Courage.
Link is the main protagonist of the Legend of Zelda series. A courageous young boy who leaves his home to save the world from the evil forces threatening it.
Over the course of his adventure, Link defeats legions of evil monsters, helps anyone he meets who is struggling, and navigates deadly dungeons, all while pursuing his quest for justice and peace. In the end, he succeeds in his quest and becomes the legendary Hero of Hyrule.
