Das Dorf an der Grenze
Trögern / Korte ist ein kleiner, abgelegener Ort - eigentlich nur eine Kirche, ein ehemaliges Gasthaus (inzwischen Seminar-Pension) und ein paar Häuser bzw. Nebengebäude. Noch vor ein paar Jahren war der Ort buchstäblich ein "Geisterdorf" - inzwischen wurden die Gebäude renoviert und es herrscht sozusagen wieder Leben vor Ort.
"Das Dorf an der Grenze" war eine 4-teilige TV-Serie (im ORF von 1979 - 1991) nach dem Buch von Thomas Pluch unter der Regie von Fritz Lehner. Die sich über einen Produktionszeitraum von 14 Jahren erstreckende Serie handelt vom Schicksal von Menschen beider Sprachgruppen im fiktiven zweisprachigen Dorf "Selitsch / Selice" an der österreichisch-jugoslawischen Grenze von 1920 über die Zeit des Zweiten Weltkrieges bis zum Zerfall Jugoslawiens 1991. Einer der Drehorte, der das fiktive Dorf darstellen sollte, befand sich hier in Trögern / Korte - und wenn man sich die (sehenswerte!) Serie ansieht, erkennt man heute noch die Gegend.
Der Cache selbst wurde etwas abseits des Dorfes platziert, um mugglesicher zu sein.
Trögern / Korte is a small, remote place - actually just a church, a former inn (now a seminar guesthouse) and a few houses or outbuildings. Just a few years ago the place was literally a "ghost village" - now the buildings have been renovated and the local life is sort of coming back to life.
"Das Dorf an der Grenze" ("The village at the border") was a 4-part TV series (on ORF from 1979 - 1991) based on the book by Thomas Pluch and directed by Fritz Lehner. The series, which ran over a production period of 14 years, deals with the fate of people of both language groups in the fictional bilingual village "Selitsch / Selice" on the Austrian-Yugoslav border from 1920 through the time of the Second World War to the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991. One of the locations which was supposed to represent the fictional village was located here in Trögern / Korte - and if you look at the (worth seeing!) series, you can still recognize the location today.
The cache itself was placed a bit away from the village to be muggle proof.
