I would love to meet some local cachers. I've been in this area for awhile but because of my deafness it is difficult to get to know people. It's especially hard to remember names since I can't hear them. This event is to help me overcome that a little and to know you better.
I actually grew up hard-of-hearing and then became deaf later in life. People often comment: "But, you speak so well". If you become deaf after age 18 months,you can speak well, but you are still deaf. I have a very difficult time remembering names and getting to really know people...and remembering their names.
This event is my opportunity to "get to know YOU" a little more and for you to know ME. I'll have a brief half page for you to fill out (so I can keep it and try to put "face to name"). I'll also give you a half page with information about me.
Please post a "Will Attend" so I can keep the restraurant informed of the count to expect. They are aware of this event and permission has been granted from the manager. BONUS: there will be a few give-aways during the event. Feel free to bring Trackables to exchange and log.
