Stenberg (eller Steinberg) er et av Norges største friluftsmuseum. Det er bygget opp rundt amtmannsgarden Stenberg som er omgitt av en stor park, åkermark og enger, og viser kulturlandskap, byggeskikk og sosiale forhold på Totenpå 1800-tallet. Gårdstunet rundt hovedbygningen på gården er sentrum i museumsområdet, men rundt om er det satt opp flere typer bygninger som representerer ulike bruksområder. De er hentet fra ulike steder på Toten. De er fra 16-, 17 og 1800-tallet, og noen er innredet med tidstypiske møbler. Gårdstunet og parkanleggningen slik den framstår i dag er som en tidskapsel fra årene rundt 1814 - et velkjent årstall i Norge. Amtmannen Lauritz Weidemann deltok i riksforsamlingen på Eidsvoll i mai-dagene. Det var han og hans kone Ditlevine som bygget opp gårdstunet og parken slik den framstår i dag, inspirert av europeiske byggeskikker. Stenberg tilhører i dag Mjøsmuseet, som forvalter samlinger og anlegg ved Mjøsa.

Stenberg (or Steinberg) is one of the largest open-air museums in Norway. It is built around the district governor´s estate Stenberg which is surrounded by a large park, arable land and meadows, and displays the cultural landscape, building customs and social conditions in Toten in the 19th century. The courtyard around the main building on the farm is the center of the museum area, but several types of buildings representing different areas of use have been set up around the whole park. They come from various places from what today constitutes the two muncipalities of Toten. They are from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, and some are furnished with period furniture. The garden and the park as it appears today are like a time capsule from the years around 1814 - a well-known year in Norwegian history. That year Norway was declared as an independent state, after more than 400 years in union with Denmark, and on the 17th of May the Norwegian Constitution was signed at Eidsvoll (1 hour drive south east from here). District governor Lauritz Weidemann participated in the Constitutent Assembly. It was he and his wife Ditlevine who built up the estate with the park as it appears today, inspired by European building customs. Stenberg today belongs to the Mjøsmuseet, which manages collections and facilities on several locations by the Lake Mjøsa.
