Geocache Description:

Wood is a natural, renewable, and sustainable material for building.

Maximizing wood use in both residential and commercial construction could remove an estimated 21 million tons of CO² from the atmosphere annually - equal to taking 4.4 million cars off the road, worldwide.

Down south, one of the biggest sawmills is the nearby Niagara.

Farmers and Builders always need Wood, to build a new house, build a gate, a shed or simply just to fix something.

Timber widths of 100mm is as common as 150mm... and it could be either 50mm or 75mm thick.

A 75mm by 100mm is a good size post for a build a paling fence, with 150mm palings to finish it off.

Now that you have some ideas on what you need, it's off the the merchant to get some supplies.

Did you measure exactly what you need... have you measured left to right, and east to the other side?

A 4.8m length should be enough... maybe cutting it in 1/2 will help me get it home...

The fence posts are just over 8.2m apart, think I can make it work...

Or maybe I need a couple more posts in between to strengthen it, about 7 ft spacings?

The cache is dedicated to the late great Granville86a, who worked at Niagara as long as I'd known him.

Fingers crossed, the cache is published on the eleventh of August, which would have been his sixty fifth birthday... his time to retire and cache the world.

CACHE IN PEACE, GRANVILLE86A (5192)
