Workman Cemetery was founded in 1885 by the Ancient Order of United Workmen, the first of the “fraternal benefit societies” that gave mutual social and financial support after the American Civil War. Consisting of 1.53 acres, Workman Cemetery is one of four cemeteries on a half-mile stretch of Powerline Road, the other three being Alford Cemetery, IOOF Cemetery, and Masonic Cemetery. Workman Cemetery is also known as A.O.U.W., Ancient Order of United Workmen, and Alford-Workman.
The cache is at the entrance, not inside, the cemetery. The hint tells you exactly where it is. Please remember the best way to replace a nano log is to roll it tightly and place it IN THE CAP and then slide the base on and twist into lock position.
Placed on International Geocaching Day 2022.
