Geocache Description:

Note: Due to the proximity of Bulimba Creek this location is prone to flooding. There is also a history of caches going missing, therefore this is a Tree Fishing Cache, and as such you will require a retrieval tool of some sort. Please do not attempt to climb the tree.

A cryptocurrency, or crypto is a digital currency designed to work as a medium of exchange through a computer network that is not reliant on any central authority, such as a government or bank, to uphold or maintain it.

Cryptocurrency does not exist in physical form (like paper money) and is typically not issued by a central authority. Cryptocurrencies typically use decentralized control as opposed to a central bank digital currency. When a cryptocurrency is minted or created prior to issuance or issued by a single issuer, it is generally considered centralized. When implemented with decentralized control, each cryptocurrency works through distributed ledger technology, typically a blockchain, that serves as a public financial transaction database.

The first decentralized cryptocurrency was Bitcoin, which first released as open-source software in 2009. It was invented in 2008 by an unknown person or group of people using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin has been described as an economic bubble by at least eight Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences recipients. It is also not uncommon for cryptocurrency in general to be called "bitcoin" (in a similar sense to "Xerox" being used for any photocopier) by people unfamiliar with crypto, but such usage is discouraged.

And now for the cryptocurrency trading rules:

There are none... but should you wish to deposit some bitcoin into the cache... please feel free to do so...cheeky

Finally, as always, please ensure your name is in the logbook to claim a find...
