Number 1697 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
IMPORTANT : This cache is not hidden at the Fine Pair.
Please complete the task below to work out where it is hidden.
A compass would be handy, but you can also do it with just the info provided on this page.
This Fine Pair in Knutsford consists of a traditional red telephone box (out of commission, currently used as a seed exchange) facing a wall-mounted red GR priority postbox across Sparrow Lane.
To find the cache, stand at the post box and then walk for the distance shown below on the given bearing to reach its hiding place. (This was originally a puzzle based on the Collection Times shown on the post box, but as they kept changing I've now chosen to just give you the numbers to use. This does open up the option of calculating the final location from your armchair instead, it's up to you how you want to do it.)
The cache is hidden a short 46 metre walk away on a bearing of 166 degrees.
If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication
mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
