Vom Karbacherhof (P2, 1426m, Einkehrmöglichkeit) führt der Weg ins Karbachtal bis zur Schäferhütte hinein, wo der Wanderweg 52 mit angenehmer Steigung bis zum Hörneckele (auch Hörneggele, 2127m) weiterführt. Die gesamte Wanderung ist auch für Konditionsschwache und wenig trittsichere Wanderer zu bewältigen.
Man wird hier mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht belohnt. Das imposante Gipfelkreuz, welches man bereits vom Gsiesertal aus sehen kann, wurde am 28. August 1988 fertiggestellt und hat eine Höhe von ca. 12m. Die 270 Einzelstücke aus Holz wurden mit der Seilwinde von der Ragotzalm herauftransportiert.
Wer gerne die Aussicht genießt und sich Zeit für die freundlichen Ziegen auf der Alm nehmen möchte, sollte sich bei der Wanderung 3h (eine Richtung) einberechnen.
Wanderempfehlung: Weitergehen kann man zum Fellhorn (2518 hm), dessen Entfernung man durch die Perspektive vom Hörneggele aus nicht unterschätzen sollte. Der Abstieg kann zur Aschtalm (Einkehrmöglichkeit) erfolgen, wo man schließlich von St.Magdalena aus mit dem Bus zurück nach St.Martin gelangt.

Dal Maso Karbacherhof (P2,1426m, aperto per visitatori) il sentiero prosegue alla baita Schäfer, dove, in dolcissima salita, si raggiunge la cima conosciuta come Hörneckele (Hörneggele, it. Cornetto, 2127m). La vista sulla cima è bellissima.
La croce di vetta, innaugurata nel 1988, ha un' altezza di ca. 12 metri. I 270 pezzi sono stati trasportati con una teleferica dalla malga Ragotz.
Quelli che hanno un' occhio per la natura, si prendono anche 3 ore per l'escursione (una direzione). Il sentiero è facile da andare e si può fare anche con i bambini.
Consiglio d'escursione: Si può andare al Fellhorn (2518m) o scendere alla malga Aschtalm (aperto per visitatori) e poi si raggiunge S.Maddalena. A S.Martino si arriva col autobus. Notate che il Fellhorn sembra molto più vicino a causa della prospettiva dal Cornetto.

Start your walk at the Karbacherhof (P2, 1426m, small eatery) and go on until you reach the hut Schäfer. With a gentle rise, the trail 52 will lead you to the summit Hörneckele (Hörneggele, 2127m). The view thre will be breathtaking.
The cross of Hörneckele was completed in 1988 and it is 12m high. 270 pieces where transportet with a winch from the alp Ragotz.
The wanderer who enjoys to take a look at the nature, will take 3 hours for this walking-tour (only one direction). The path is not dangerous, so you can walk also with kids.
Recommendation to hike: You can walk to the Fellhorn (2518m) or descrend to the hut Aschtalm, which is open for visitation. From St.Magdalena you can reach St.Martin with the bus. Notice, that the Fellhorn seems to be way nearer than it is, because of the perspective from Hörneggele.
