Rescue Me... again
This cache has been placed by TheWheatBombs 3 to recognize the work done by the NSW Rescue Helicopter in the Illawarra region and the rest of NSW located here at Albion Park Airport. We are located to the East of the HARS museum, with a new base built in 2017.
Our aircraft is an Augusta Westland 139 twin engine helicopter. It is staffed 24/7 by Specialist Critical Care Paramedics & Doctors provided by NSW Ambulance Service & NSW Health. The Aircrew consists of a Pilot and Air Crewman who are currently employed by Toll.
We average approximately 45 jobs per month. We cover the entire state of NSW and sometimes reach into Queensland to the North and Victoria to the South.
Our jobs range from moving critical patients from country centres to large city centres, to winching patients from the ocean, off boats, off cliffs, out of canyons or remote bush land to landing on pre - hospital accident scenes or to provide definitive care and transport to those who need it most.
I work as part of the crew and am always working hard to recruit more of the team into geocaching. Hope you enjoy this cache and give the guys a wave if you see them.
